Certification and testing of obstacle marking systems
Certified safety – reliable down to the last detail
For us, safety doesn’t begin with commissioning—it starts with the rigorous testing of every single system.
Before shipment, every component of our obstacle marking and control systems undergoes a comprehensive quality control process. Each obstacle light is individually tested electronically to ensure proper functioning. For photometric testing, we rely on our own fully automated photometric laboratory equipped with laser-based measurement technology—for both visible light and infrared spectra.
Our components are tested under extreme conditions: a long-term test lasting approximately 1,440 hours is conducted in a salt spray chamber to ensure corrosion resistance and weather resistance. In addition, we test functionality in a climate chamber at temperatures as low as -40°C. Among other tools, we use a thermal imaging camera to analyze thermal effects and stability.
In addition, Quantec Signals complies with all relevant environmental and material guidelines: We hold RoHS and REACH declarations of conformity and comply with the Conflict Minerals Directive in accordance with international standards.
This is how we ensure that every product not only meets the highest technical standards but is also manufactured in a sustainable and responsible manner.
