Aviation Control Cabinet

Centralized control and a reliable power supply in a single system

The Aviation Control Cabinet from Quantec Signals GmbH combines control, power supply, and system monitoring in a compact solution. The integrated uninterruptible power supply (UPS) ensures that the obstacle lighting continues to operate reliably even during power failures.

As the central junction point within the lighting system, the control cabinet enables the connection and control of all components. At the same time, it ensures a stable power supply and provides flexible options for system configuration and expansion.

Key features at a glance

The Aviation Control Cabinet provides complete control and monitoring of the connected warning lights and system components. The integration of the control unit, power storage, and communication interfaces results in a powerful and compact system.

Communication with local SCADA systems enables continuous monitoring and integration into existing infrastructures. Additional systems can be easily integrated via various interfaces such as RS-485 and Ethernet

Versatile control and intelligent system integration

Inside the cabinet is a PCB including a programmable Raspberry Pi, which allows a flexible adaptation to different project requirements. Predefined configurations can be selected directly via DIP switches, simplifying and speeding up the commissioning process.

Additional functions can be added as required via a USB stick, ensuring long-term reliability and versatility.

Safety and reliability in operation

The system is designed for continuous operation in demanding environments and offers comprehensive protection mechanisms. Integrated overvoltage protection in accordance with DIN EN IEC 61643-11 ensure the protaction of sensitive components, while the design complies with DIN EN IEC 61400-24.

The integrated fault detection loop within the UPS enables continuous monitoring of the system status. Malfunctions and failures of warning lights are reliably detected and signaled, ensuring a rapid response and high operational reliability.
